Our flagship course, approved by the University of Chester and accredited by the ICF. The postgraduate level coach training of choice for thousands of successful coaches.
Our University approved and ICF accredited course will give you an exceptional personal and professional development experience delivered in a short timeframe.
You will be given insight into a broad range of approaches to coaching and an understanding of the psychological theories underlying coaching.
Our course has been devised to offer a true adult learning experience. The course offers a rich blend of theory and practice. From Day 1 you will learn new coaching theories, will be introduced to a wealth of tools and techniques and will be practising coaching in pairs and small groups.
Coach training is what we do. We have always been pioneers in the field of University approved coach training and we are as passionately committed to it today as we always have been. We are proud that the Barefoot name is now instantly and internationally recognised. Our tutors and guest speakers are all highly regarded in their field and offer valuable input and expertise to help delegates optimise and enjoy their learning experience. Thousands of coaches working in the UK and globally have already chosen Barefoot to begin or to build their coaching careers.
Our course is delivered in three modules over 25-half days, with a two-week interval between each module. After each module, delegates will have a half-day group coaching supervision and mentoring session. This course is currently only delivered online - we hope that face to face delivery will return in the future. Barefoot will provide mentoring and tutor support to you in completing your written work should you choose to complete the PG Cert element of the course. Once you have registered with the University of Chester, you will also have access to the University’s extensive academic resources.
Psychology has a key role to play in coaching. You will acquire specialist knowledge and understanding of the various psychological theories which underpin modern coaching practice.
Our motto is “Beware the man of one book” - we do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to coaching. We believe that coaches are more effective if they have access to a wide range of coaching methodologies and have the behavioural flexibility to adapt to context and the client’s particular needs. Our course will give you a rich variety of coaching strategies, idea, tools and techniques and the freedom to develop your own individual coaching style.
