Coach training is what we do. We have always been pioneers in the field of University accredited coach training and we are as passionately committed to it today as we always have been. We are proud that the Barefoot name is now instantly and internationally recognised. Our tutors and guest speakers are all highly regarded in their field and offer valuable input and expertise to help delegates optimise and enjoy their learning experience. Thousands of coaches working in the UK and globally have already chosen Barefoot to begin or to build their coaching careers.
Our course is delivered in three four-day modules, each taking place over a long weekend, usually with an interval of a month or so between modules. Courses currently take place in two locations, London and the East Midlands. Barefoot will provide mentoring and tutor support to you in completing your written work. Once you have registered with the University of Chester, you will also have access to the University’s extensive academic resources.
Psychology has a key role to play in coaching. You will acquire specialist knowledge and understanding of the various psychological theories which underpin modern coaching practice.
Our motto is “Beware the man of one book” - we do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to coaching. We believe that coaches are more effective if they have access to a wide range of coaching methodologies and have the behavioural flexibility to adapt to context and the client’s particular needs. Our course will give you a rich variety of coaching strategies, idea, tools and techniques and the freedom to develop your own individual coaching style.
Our guest tutors are all acknowledged thought leaders in the world of coaching who will provide inspirational contributions to your learning.
