Cognitive Behavioural Psychology for Coaches - 11th & 18th August

Cognitive and Behavioural Approaches are particularly useful for challenging unhelpful beliefs and assumptions, negative patterns of thinking and behaving and for introducing coping skills for dealing with specific situations.

You will be awarded 6 ICF CCE points for attending this event. 

 

Our tutors for these sessions are:

Ted Bradshaw, Head of Academic Learning with Barefoot Coaching. Honorary Assistant Professor of Psychological Therapies at the University of Nottingham. PGDip in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, PGCert in Business and Personal Coaching.

 

This course will be completed over 2 half day Zoom Webinars on the following dates:

This event is suitable for:

Accredited coaches who would like to learn some cognitive and behavioural techniques to use in coaching sessions with clients. 

 

Course content:

  • Theory regarding human behaviour
  • The cognitive model of change
  • The behavioural model of change
  • How to use these models to help clients in coaching, including:
    • Beliefs and assumptions
    • Thinking biases
    • Fear vs. comfort model
    • Continuum techniques
    • Behavioural experiments

For this workshop you will receive the session slides, notes and a comprehensive reading list.
