Storytelling for Coaches: How to Leverage your Story for Content Marketing - 5th October

Part writing workshop, part storytelling course, this is a fun and transformative experience to reflect on your relationship with writing, the art of finding your voice and how to start telling your story. This has been designed for anyone that feels like they have a story to tell but don’t know where to begin. Whether you are looking to learn how to communicate better with your audience, looking to attract clients through content marketing or simply for personal development reasons, then this workshop is for you.

This workshop is suitable for practising coaches that want to share more of who they are, what they do and what’s important to them on LinkedIn in a way that feels authentic and non-salesy.

Outline Content:

This course will be divided into four areas:

  • Writers Mindset – We’ll uncover what is getting in the way of you writing and creating content on LinkedIn.
  • Story Strategy – We’ll explore what your story strategy is. Getting the foundations in place for your content creation journey so that you have a clear idea of your why and who.
  • The Hero’s Journey – We’ll look at Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey model and how this can be applied to your own journey to create courageous content that can be shared with a professional network.
  • Writing Techniques – We’ll practice using different writing techniques and exercises that will help you get kick started in content creating and enhance what you’re currently doing.

 

By the end of the workshop, delegates will:

  • Be able to courageously share your story and more of who you are
  • Have practised how to write a compelling post that is structured in the right way
  • Have learned about different writing techniques that will increase your engagement
  • Understand ‘The Hero’s Journey' and how you can leverage yours for your content

Alex is a practising coach, professional writer and artist. As a LinkedIn Top Voice UK, best known for writing under the hashtag #AuthenticAlex. Her background was working in the Financial Services as the Head of Training & Development of a foreign exchange broker. She gave that up to write a different story and to teach people to use their own story and voice to create an impact in the world.

Alex is an official LinkedIn Learning Instructor and has a LinkedIn newsletter readership of over 30,000 subscribers. She’s also the co-founder of #LinkedInLocal, the biggest hashtag campaign on LinkedIn that created a not-for-profit offline community and scaled it in over 100 countries and 1,000.

She now helps individuals and businesses grow their presence on LinkedIn, helping them find their sense of purpose and tell their own stories. By doing that herself she has attracted work from brands such as Shell, Deloitte, Dyson, Microsoft, BP, Institute of Directors and Fiverr all through the power of storytelling and building her Thought Leadership on LinkedIn.
