Visual Facilitation - 11th & 12th May 2021

A powerful tool for many forms of learning or problem solving is visual facilitation. Whether you're using graphical representation to teach or to record, with a group or as an individual, the act of creation is engaging and leads people to interpret and feel a part of things.

You'll learn some of the basics of visual facilitation which can be applied on a small scale, such as sketch notes or a large scale such as flip charts, whiteboards or posters. We'll explore some group exercises that work well with visual facilitation, consider coaching as a context and you'll get some hands-on practice.

At the end of this workshop delegates will:

  •       Understand the value of visual facilitation in the context of coaching, problem solving & learning
  •       Have learned (and practiced in their own notes) six basic skills of visual facilitation; text, layout, containers, people, shading & icons
  •       Have experienced first hand and learned about a number of techniques for incorporating visual facilitation techniques into workshops & coaching scenarios.
  •       Have considered how to apply these techniques to group & team coaching and practiced
  •       Have considered how to apply these techniques to 1-2-1 coaching
  •       Have learned practical information about pens, flipcharts, whiteboards, digital mediums & remote tools to help them to apply these skills immediately
